Life's Surrounding Walls

If you find yourself living in total confinement, why not fight to be free? You always think that escaping from that kind of isolation is easy, but clearly, you're too blind to see. Life is like a prison. You got four walls surrounding you, makes you feel so small. And you know that the only way to get out is to fight. Yes, you must fight against life sometimes. It won't give you all the gifts and privileges you desire. Life is like World War 3, except this is a war that will never end. You will keep fighting life until the day you pass. Whether it is dealing with problems of any kind, or just dealing with yourself in general. There will rarely be a time where you will be able to lay your sword down, and take a breather. If that does happen, you my friend, are lucky.

Friends

Friends...back at an early age, I never really understood what that word meant. I never understood the importance of just that one word and how much it can affect someone. Friend. Throughout my life, I've met a few people who I did consider a "friend". Some more than others. There were some that left me for no apparent reason at all, and there were some that stood by my side. For that, I call those people my best friends. As I'm writing this, I think about all the people who I came across in highschool, all the people I met outside of school, and so on. I think about how important, and how right now, I finally understand the meaning of the word "friend." The meaning is quite simple: It's not someone who you've known for many years. It's someone who stuck by your side in every battle you've ever faced.
